Paul Austin Scholarship

This scholarship is a one-time $2000 scholarship. It is designated for a student graduating from Jonathan Law who will be attending a 4-year college in the Fall. This scholarship is based on academics, service, need, and high school activities. It is renewable provided that the student maintains a 3.0 college GPA and is enrolled as a full time student.

Bridge House Foundation Scholarship

This $1,000 scholarship is made possible through a donation by the Bridge House Restaurant. It is designated for a graduating senior from Jonathan Law who will be attending a 4-year college in the Fall. This scholarship is based on academics, service, need, and high school activities.

Bridge House Dodie Ireland Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of Gloria “Dodie” Ireland, a past member of the Devon Rotary who was extremely devoted to youth, and especially to the students at Platt Tech. This $1,000 scholarship has been designated for a graduate of Platt RVTS who will be continuing his or her education at an accredited post-graduate institution.

Robert Boughton Memorial Scholarship

This is a $1,500 scholarship for any student graduating from a Milford high school or Milford resident graduating from any high school. Special preference is given for a student pursuing a career related to hospitality management or culinary. This award is based on Academics, service, need, and activities. It is made possible by a donation from Chris Saley and the Bridge House Restaurant.

John D. Gaynor Memorial Scholarship

This is a $1,000 scholarship for any student graduating from a Milford high school or Milford resident graduating from any high school who is continuing his or her education at a 4-year college. This is designated for a student who will be pursuing a degree in business, with additional consideration given to students who are interested in entrepreneurship. This scholarship is based on service, academics, and need.

Barbara Burwell Gaynor Memorial Scholarship

This is a $1,000 scholarship for any student graduating from a Milford high school or any Milford student graduating from any high school who is continuing his or her education at a 4-year college. This is a designated for a student who will be pursuing a degree in education with the hopes of becoming a teacher. This scholarship is based on service, academics, and need.

Steven G. Memorial Scholarship

This is a $1,000 a year scholarship renewable for 4-years. It is open to any student graduating from a Milford high school or any Milford resident graduating from any high school. This is designated for a student studying marine biology, aquatic sciences, or a related major, or for a student who has shown concern for the environment and an interest in marine life. This scholarship is based on service, academics, and need.

Joyce G. Memorial Scholarship

This is a $1,000 a year scholarship renewable for 4-years. It is open to any student graduating from a Milford high school or any Milford resident graduating from any high school. This is designated for any student pursuing research or a health related career, with special consideration given for students who are interested in pursuing Cancer Research or oncology. This scholarship is based on service, academics, and need.

The Stanford Family Scholarship

This is a one-time $1,000 scholarship. It is open to students from Jonathan Law or Foran High Schools, and it is based on need and academics. Special consideration is given for a student who has overcome adversity. This award is made possible by a donation from the Stanford family.

James J. Maroney Sr. and John D. Malarkey Sr. Memorial Scholarship

This is a one-time $2,000 scholarship for any student graduating from a Milford high school or any Milford resident graduating from any high school. Special preference will be given to a student pursuing a degree in education at a 4-year college. This scholarship is based on service, academics, and need. The award is made possible by a donation from the Maroney and Malarkey families.

Milford Arts Council Endowment Art Student Scholarship

This is a one-time $1,000 scholarship, made possible by a donation from the Milford Arts Council. This is designated for a student going on to pursue a degree in the arts. This scholarship is based on service, academics, and need.

Milford Arts Council Endowment Art Student Scholarship (#2)

This is a one-time $1,000 scholarship, made possible by a donation from the Milford Arts Council. This is designated for a student going on to pursue a degree in the arts. This scholarship is based on service, academics, and need.

Daniel and Roma Moger Memorial Scholarship

This is a one-time $1,000 scholarship, made possible by a donation from Albert and Marilyn May. It is given in memory of Daniel and Roma Moger, who were both Milford natives. Dan was a local business owner, a past president of the Milford Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow. Given their mutual interest in history (particularly Milford history), this scholarship is designated for a student who intends to major in history, whether it be state- or nationally focused or international, either as a major, part of a teaching program, or as a pre-law student.

CT Shoreline Rotaract Scholarship

This a one time $1000 Scholarship Sponsor by the newly formed CT. Shoreline Rotaract Club. This is opened to any Ct Shoreline Graduating Interact Club member who embodies “Service Above Self”. The qualified candidate is a student who has a proven connection with their community and wants to continue to serve and volunteer during their college years and beyond. This scholarship is based on academics, service, and need.

Tools Of the Trade Awards

The Devon Rotary Tools of the Trade Awards award was established in 1990 by then president William Dale Jr. to honor past club president and his father William T. Dale Sr. a plumber by trade. In recent years support from Excello Tool Engineering & Manufacturing Co. has preserved this award.

This one time $500 award is designated for a Milford resident graduating from high school and going into the trade they studied or going to trade school to pursue a career in the trades.  This award is specific to a trade (see list) and is based on service, need, and a desire work in the trades. This award is made possible by donations from local businesses and individuals concerned about the trades.  Include the following information.
